The Spilly Spoon wonder

With a toddler and twins in the house, giving medicine is a nightmare that has to happen far too frequently.   I used to have to wrestle my oldest (then 1yr old) into submission, pin her down and force medicine into her mouth with a syringe. I'm glad to say that times have changed. She now voluntarily takes medicine. I am using the Spilly Spoon medicine spoon available on KEO. It is truly an amazing product. I can measure the contents in the handle, lay the spoon down to locate my tot, and then once she is ready I just give her the spoon and without spilling anything she gladly pours it into her own mouth. My life is truly a lot easier. She thinks it's great fun to boot!

Here is the blurb. PS The spoon costs R99 but it's worth it.

Medicine is poured into the calibrated handle of the spoon, it can be laid flat on a work surface with upto 10ml of medicine. The perfect solution for administering medicine in the middle of the night.

The 'Spilly Spoon' has a long life - it can be used for babies & toddlers and when the children are much bigger they can hold it and self-administer the medicine (under adult supervision)!

  • Medicine can be measured accurately on the calibrated section in measurements of 2.5ml, 5ml, 7.5ml, 10ml. The spilly spoon has been designed to make giving medicine to your child easier.
  • Easy to clean. Wash with warm soapy water. Dishwasher Safe. Steriliser Safe.
  • Made in the UK.

Don’t you just love it when you discover a product that fits the bill in every way.  I’ve discovered an Eco-friendly range that is very educational and full of fun  from Green Start. They have just won the Green Award at the Mama Magic show last weekend.

Keep delicate skin protected from the sun

About me

Published on Tuesday, January 20, 2015

My husband and I have recently made the reverse flow move and exchanged the glorious Cape for Gauteng. We lived in the beautiful town of Somerset West until September last year when we moved to an estate in Centurion. It is not as gloomy as it sounds to all you Capetonians, we actually really love it here. The weather is beautiful and the people are unbelievably friendly.  My 16 month old baby is now in a morning school for babies and she is flourishing.
